Charlotte Ministry Files for Bankruptcy

According to CharlotteObserver.com - A Charlotte ministry was forced to file for bankruptcy for the second time this year.

A Gift of Love Ministry Inc., located in Charlotte, filed for bankruptcy with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court this past Thursday.  At first, the ministry filed for bankruptcy protection in March of 08', but the case was dismissed after the ministry's attorney withdrew and refused to handle proceedings.

The Gift of Love ministry is know for operating a food drive that serves nearly 200-300 impoverished Charlotte residents.  Unfortunately, the ministry has nothing but tough breaks, including a burglary in 2004 where suspects stole food for the Thanksgiving meal.

According to the court filing, Gift of Love Ministry Inc. owes money to 1-49 creditors and has debts that range from $100,000 to $500,000.
